A space for me to write whatever. Mainly, I'll talk about technology, politics, music, random events, things that vex me. Oh, some photos too

Summer: Being Alone
You look forward to it. You can't wait for it. But when summer actually arrives, what is there to do.
Sure, you go out a few nights. Hang with you pals a few times. What you forget about home is the quietness, the loneliness, the solidarity of living in a place without your friends around you all the time. One of the great aspects of college life is dorm life: living with your peers. The sad thing though is that this only lasts four years. After law school, I invision my life being so monotonous and boring. I'll go to work, pay the bills, watch TV, eat, sleep, etc. I feel like watching Friends as a child screwed up my perception of what post-college life is like. You don't live with all of your friends in that close of a proximity. It's just not reality. Friends combines the antics & atmosphere of dorm living with the trials and hardships of being an adult. I wish that's what life ended up like: your friends and life conveniently being all close to you, but that's just not how it is.
Not to bash on Friends too much (it's a great show), but if life was like sitcoms, we'd be happy. Even during the episodes of sitcoms when people are mad at each other, they still portray this constant contact of the characters, and in real life, there are so many moments you spend by yourself.

I Love Covers: Let's Spend the Night Together
In 1967, The Rolling Stones released the single "Let's Spend the Night Together".
In 1973, David Bowie released a better version of the same song. Seriously, way better.
Oh, and just for shits and giggles, Lukas Rossi, who won the show "Rockstar: Supernova" and is now competing on the hit show, "The Voice", covered the song as well. This version is definitely more hard rock.
The reason I love good covers boils down to this: they let the artist take the song, and make it their own. And when they make it their own for better, well then you've got an epic song.
I Love Covers: Waterloo Sunset
the Kinks original verison:
Yeah, it is great, but it's just to mellow for my taste right now. I want the song to hit me with passion, with raw emotion. While I love The Kinks, they just don't do that for me. Who better to help me out than David Bowie, the Thin White Duke.
More nice electric guitar. Key.
